Book Description

I believe the key to life is laughing at least three times a day. Since, I failed to make anyone laugh with my mundane biography, I insist, if you are still examining the back of this book, you at least open it and heed the WARNING... Read at Your Own Risk! If you decide to investigate further, the remainder of this book will take you back to the 1970's using music as an astral time machine. It is a compilation of insights and short stories involving a like minded group of misfits, tripping through a decade of ready-made rollicking mania, where there were no rules, except of course, the endless bouts of jocularity and hijinks...A mixture of 'Monty Python' meets 'National Lampoon's Animal House', where 'Wolfie Smith' is squatting in the attic smoking a joint with 'Cheech and Chong'. We were really a group of disgruntled students and stoners on hiatus, hanging with our eyes closed onto the frayed fringes of anarchy. This is where the Vietnam War, The Cold War, The IRA and International Terrorism, and the rise of Marxist leaning groups in both Europe and the U.S. dominated the headlines. When we looked at a world in crisis, it was easy for us to cynically deride Politics, Religion, The Royal Family, The New Age, and Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll--whether we were toasted at the pub, or sitting comfortably numb at home.
