Book Review and Awards
"I admit when I first started reading this series, I found them to be over the top and eye-rollingly absurd. But as I've kept reading them I really started to enjoy them. Hashbrown is a likeable character along with his rather wacky but amusing friends. And it's not just their names either (Snow Cone, Measles, Whiz) that is wacky, but their unique flaws and strengths. I appreciated the loyalty and bonds of friendship despite the problems that arise. I think that is the message that shines through loud and clear in these books is the importance of friendship. I have to say that I've never come across a series with such creative plot twists and characteristics." - Heidi Grange
