Book Description

Timothy yearns to follow his father Simeon and two uncles in their fishing boat on the stormy Sea of Galilee, but because of his small frame, he is given the task of tending a few sheep on the hillside. But the Master has come! Through Timothy's eyes we see the Savior feed five thousand with only five barley loaves and two small fishes. The heart of this small lad is touched, and he is filled with a desire to give something in return that would be worthy of his beloved Master. Through Timothy's implicit, childlike faith, we glimpse the crucifixion and resurrection, and the belief of this little shepherd boy in the Savior's promise that He will indeed gather His sheep.

Book Review and Awards

"Excellent family story...Very sweet (fictional) story of the boy who gave the fishes and loaves of bread that Jesus used to feed the multitudes he was teaching." - D. Dickinson
